Manna Community Pantry

Manna Community Pantry

SCCEFC has partnered with the Community Kitchen’s Spinz-A-Round food recovery program to introduce a cross-congregational outreach initiative, the Manna Community Pantry. We receive donated food from suppliers, donors and partner organizations. This will include items such as fresh baked good, produce, dairy, protein, dry packaged goods, canned goods, etc. This program is not only designed to alleviate hunger in our community by providing free groceries to individuals and families, but to also build relationships and support those in need.

This is a great chance to serve as individuals, as a family, or together with your small group alongside brothers and sisters from all congregations.

Get Involved

Experience the joy of serving! Why? It strengthens our community and church family. It fosters meaningful friendships and relationships. It helps others. And it deepens our purpose in life when we are able to use our gifts to touch the lives and love others - all of which is the heart of Jesus!

Would you like to get involved? We are always looking for individuals, youth, families and ALGs to join our ministry teams. Feel free to ask our ministry leads if you can shadow them or another volunteer to see if it’s a good fit for you!

Ukraine, How You Can Help

As the situation in Ukraine worsens, we encourage our church to continually pray for them and our friends at the House of Mercy, the orphanage in the Ukraine our church family has partnered with for over 10 years. (https://www.kpk-ukraina.com/)

Currently the House of Mercy is preparing spaces for refugees arriving from all over the country. From our previous post, "We want to rally our church to pray for these partners on the mission field as well as the country as a whole. We love them very much and it is heartbreaking to see what others are doing to their beloved country. Let's lift our prayers to God for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine."

If you are interested in supporting the House of Mercy financially, please designate your offering as "House of Mercy" and the funds will be sent directly to them.

If you are interested in supporting Ukraine's Humanitarian Crisis through the Red Cross: https://donate.redcross.ca/page/100227/donate/1?locale=en-CA

Tax receipts will be eligible for both.
